EQ:What was Lincoln’s plans for rebuilding the South after the Civil War? GPS:SS8H6-The student will analyze the impact of the Civil War and Reconstruction on Georgia. c. Analyze the impact of the reconstruction on Georgia and other southern states emphasizing Freedmen’s Bureau, sharecropping and tenant farming, Reconstruction plans, 13th, 14th, and 15th Amendments to the Constitution, Henry McNeal Turner and black legislators, and the Ku Klux Klan. WORK SESSION: Reconstruction and the New South- Power Point Notes/Discussion Activity Sheet: Graphic Organizer “The Plans” CLOSING: In your Interactive Notebook answer the following: What was the purpose of the Freedman’s Bureau? HOMEWORK: Study for Vocabulary Quiz to be given on Friday, March 9, 2012.
