Is it working ? • LCD - 3 second green light and led display confirms • NXT and XR – led display confirms • Check the plastic tab is removed from the battery If not working it may need a battery change • LCD - Two coin cell CR2032 (3.0V) lithium batteries • XR and NXT - AAA batteries • Need a new battery? Go to student Union shop • Please recycle your old batteries

  4. Changing channels You may have to change your handset channels in some classrooms. The channel number will be displayed on the classroom wall. For the RF LCD handsets: • Press “CH” button. • While the light is flashing red and green, enter the 2 digit code (i.e. channel 53 = 53) • After the second digit is entered, press and release the “Ch” button For the XR handsets: • Press Menu. • Arrow down to Change Channel. • Press Enter. • Type in the channel number and press Enter For the NXT handsets: • Press the Channel button. • Use the number pad to enter the new channel number. • Once the channel number has been entered, press the button.

  5. What if I make a mistake? • As long as the poll is open you can re-poll the answer, only the last one you enter will be the final one How do poll multiple responses? • You can do this on all the handsets. Just enter your choices e.g. b,d,e (and press ‘enter’ if using the NXT handset). If you want to change your choice re-enter all the answers again (and if using the NXT press ‘enter’). • If you change your mind you must re-enter all your answers not just the one that was wrong.

  6. Loss and replacement What if I lose it? • First check with lost property at main reception on 01707 285130/5536. • If not found please inform your………. • You will be charged £35 for a replacement • Replacements can be paid for via the online shop or at the student centre What if I find it? • If you find it within a reasonable time span (usually up to the end of the academic year but depends on your School) you will need to return the new one to the student office and request a refund.
