  5. HUDL Film Archive HL R LJ U

  6. Evaluations • Evaluation • An evaluator views the game film for mechanics, • positioning, penalties, rules enforcement, etc. • Every official starts out with 100 points • Points are deducted for improper mechanics, positioning, • errors in rules enforcement, improper calls, missed calls, • etc. (Page numbers are referenced from the book) • The benefit of the doubt always goes to the official on • the field • Only major errors clearly evident on film are subject to • point deductions • Comments are often made with no points deducted

  7. Evaluations EvaluationGradingScale INCORRECT POSITION: (– 3) points per infraction. If the SAME infraction happens again the previous (– 3) points are erased and (– 6) points will be given for the second infraction. After the second infraction, no more points will be deducted for the SAME TYPE of infraction, but it should be noted in the game notes. INCORRECT MECHANIC: (– 3) points per infraction.
