  1. Team # - Professional Project Name Names of all your team members Spring 2012 ECE 410 – VLSI Design Project Description Describe briefly the project, and introduce some of the strong points of your design. By the way, you are not required to use this background, font, or poster layout, provided that you include the required elements, your presentation is professional, and that the overall poster size is 48” x 30”. Text should generaly be size 20+ and readable at a distance. Figures should be as high quality as possible Total Datapath Layout A high quality image of your total layout (better resolution than the example below, please). Black or white background, your choice, but all layers must be standard colors (metal 1 = blue, metal 3 = cyan, etc - i.e. do not invert a black background image to get a white background image). Your total datapath image should be the main feature on your poster. Shifter Describe your design methodology: Outline the unique and challenging aspects of your project and how you worked to meet those challenges.  Describe your design in detail. You do not need to include all schematics, layouts, and simulations, (and do not have room for them) though you should include some of these for the cells you consider to be important in describing your project. Make sure your figures are very readable at 100% zoom. Use and caption figures appropriately. SRAM Register File Describe your design methodology: Outline the unique and challenging aspects of your project and how you worked to meet those challenges.  Describe your design in detail. You do not need to include all schematics, layouts, and simulations, (and do not have room for them) though you should include some of these for the cells you consider to be important in describing your project. Make sure your figures are very readable at 100% zoom. Use and caption figures appropriately. Example Shifter Timing Use additional text boxes as necessary to describe your figures. Remember that these will hang in the halls in the EB, so make sure it can “stand alone” in terms of the descriptions of your figures, and that your text is very professional. Example Shifter Figure Summary and Conclusions Briefly summarize your design effort and measurement results. Comment on ways to improve your design if you know of any. Arithmetic Logic Unit (ALU) Describe your design methodology: Outline the unique and challenging aspects of your project and how you worked to meet those challenges.  Describe your design in detail.
