  1. Cries From The Cross A Sermon by Servant Brian K. Woodson, Sr.

  2. Mark 15:37-39 (KJV) • 37And Jesus cried with a loud voice, and gave up the ghost. 38And the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom. 39And when the centurion, which stood over against him, saw that he so cried out, and gave up the ghost, he said, Truly this man was the Son of God.

  3. Are we blessed and highly favored and that’s all?

  4. The First Lesson: With a loud voice It is appropriate to cry…

  5. Thank God we can cry…

  6. Matthew 27:46 (KJV) • 46And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?

  7. …Because we don’t accept death as the answer to anything. …Because Life that ends in death is meaningless. …Because He like us feels the pain of cruelty and injustice and shouts out against it.

  8. Second Lesson: We worship Jesus because death was not the end of him and he proves that death does not have to be the end of us!

  9. Luke 23:46 (KJV) • 46And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost.

  10. What does it mean to pray to a God that is gone… What does it mean to pray to a God who has forsaken you!

  11. Third Lesson: Come What May… I won’t leave God when God has left me… Though He slay me yet will I serve Him…

  12. Mark 15:39 (KJV) • 39And when the centurion, which stood over against him, saw that he so cried out, and gave up the ghost, he said, Truly this man was the Son of God.

  13. Fourth Lesson: Jesus’s shout was not in defeat… But in Victory Oh death where is thy sting Oh grave where is thy victory
