  2. Agenda • Pumpkin Recipes! • Volunteer opportunities • Journal Club • 11/15 Meeting • International Food Night

  3. Pumpkin Recipes!! • Lets see what everybody’s got! • Winner gets a Panera gift card!

  4. SDA T-shirts • Shirts should be in on Friday • Jenna will send out an email about when to pick them up • Must have a $14.50 check made out to SDA before they will be given a shirt

  5. Trick-or-Treat • Can Pick-up • Oct 30 • 10:30am • Meet at PROF to carpool

  6. ERC: Juvenile Courthouse • Teach a lesson plan to at risk teens • Friday, November 12th • 7-745 pm • 2-3 volunteers needed

  7. Kids Café • Nov 1st, and Nov 15th • Meet at Prof building @ 3:15 • Lasts from 4-5 • At the Springfield Community Center • Carpooling is available

  8. Expanding Your Horizons • November 6th • SDA booth – Volunteers needed • Interactive activities for junior high girls • “Color Your World” Theme

  9. Journal Club • November 10th 4-5pm • In the PSU by Kaldi’s • Articles will be up on SDA bulletin board on Nov 1st • Certificate for participation!!!

  10. Springfield Sleep-out • November 12 • It's main goal is to raise awareness about homeless youth in the Springfield area • All the money that is raised will go back to the Rare Breed and help to fund the organization • The Rare Breed is doing so many amazing things and is so good for the Springfield area!! • More info @ http://www.springfieldsleepout.org/

  11. Special Olympics • Saturday November 20th, 2010 • 4-7 PM Joplin, Mo • Nutrition Education Stations • There will most likely be a volunteer training session • Details to come in the next few weeks!!!

  12. Ozark Food Harvest • OFH distributes 2,000 boxes monthly and all boxes are assemble solely by volunteers, we rely on your help!  • Tuesday November 30th • 6pm-9pm • Assist with assembling commodity boxes for seniors • Wear comfortable closed toed shoes • Bring one non-perishable food item, if possible • 2810 N.   13. November 15th Meeting • Panera on National and Elm • 5-8pm • SDA gets %10 of the profits from this time period • Bring your friends, family, random people on the side of the road! • Raffle for bread

  14. International Food Night • Wednesday, October 27th @5:30pm • Farmer’s Gastro Pub downtown • RSVP with Renee Gun by Oct 25th,Today! • Rides can be provided
