  1. Rufous-Sided Towhee This bird is found in Pennsylvania

  2. Traits This bird is red, only is just on the sides, not the whole breast. Neck, head, and back are black in males. This bird is warm-blooded vertebrate.

  3. Adaptations It’s beak helps it get food. This bird eats seeds and insects. Feathers help it survive, because they keep the bird warm in the winter and help it fly.

  4. Interesting Fact When seeking food, towhee energetically turn up leaves by hopping backward, scratching with both feet.

  5. Taking care of it’s young The female lays three to four eggs. The eggs are creamy white with brown spotting. She incubates them for 12 to 13 days. During the day she sneaks off to feed about once every half hour.

  6. What I thought was COOL That this bird signs the song called Drink-Your-Tea repeatedly, trilling the tea.
