  3. A lot of people still do not believe that one’s physical health is related to his mental health. What occurs on you physically affects your body’s mental state. If we travel back in the past decades or even centuries, a fair amount of events and studies will support this idea, indicating the distinct connection between a human’s mind and body.

Some research found that performing a mentally exhausting task before undergoing a tedious workout caused participants to feel fatigued and drained faster compared being mentally rested when doing the same exercise.   5. Another study suggests that a more physically fit elderly adults tend to have healthier spatial memory and bigger hippocampi than those who are less fit. Forty percent of an adult’s gain in spatial memory are believed to base on the size of his hippocampus.

  6. Unfortunate events like child abuse can also alter how the brain works.

  7. This is however getting resolved by applying techniques like psychotherapy that helps change or correct the brain structures.

  8. Being physically fit is synonymous to being mentally fit as well.

  14. This can be done by emphasizing positive emotions, events and behaviors in our life. The best way is to stop bottling up all what you feel inside and learn to simmer your thoughts by communicating with the people that matters to you.

  15. Letting yourself enjoy the right amount of sleep that your body needs and proactively finding ways to let go of stress as you meet it along the way. This also means keeping track of the possible dysfunctional behaviors that you might acquire, this can be habits that me be transforming into something that you harm your health.
