Location • Cracow is in the south west of Poland. Throughthe town flows Wisła- the biggest river in our country.
Important Dates • 1020 r - Bolesław Chrobry started building permit Cathedral wawel • 1038 r - Cacow is capital of Poland when prince Kazimierz called Odnowicielem acted garden his base. • 1076 r - coronation for king of Poland Bolesława Śmiałego. • 1241 r - invasion Tatarów on Poland. • 1364 r - assumption Cracow Academy • 1609 r - Zygmunt III Waza moved capital to Warsaw.
Modern Town • Modern Cracow much differs from other towns of Poland, because it had beautiful monuments.Town by it had charm,as many people loves. Still it’s a modern city what has modern paces like Cinemas or shopping centers.

Wawel • Wawel is one of the most interesting monuments in Europe. It was built in XIV century,in the gothic style.In this monument lived kings, statesman and people of culture.Wawel was base for king to 1596. back
KościółMariacki • Kościół Mariacki is on the big square near the market. It’s most important church in the Cracow past the catedral. It was built between 1287-1320, in part on foundation earlier church. It was complex in XV century. Now in Kościół Mariacki is the most precious medieval altar in Europe. Made it alter Wit Stwosz in 1477-1489. Back
Central Market • Rynek Główny in Cracow is the biggest square in Europe. It was chose in 1257. Square fulfillsls function market. There were umpteen stalls, balance urban, granary, but all was divided for depending for selling goods" for example fish, carbonaceous. Back
Sukiennice • The Sukiennice were built around 1300 as a covered market place. After a fire in 1555, the building was restored by the Italian architect Padovano, who gave the building an Italian Renaissance look. In 1875, the Sukiennice were restored by Tomasz Prylinski, who enlarged the Hall with a range of pillars on both sides.back
