  5. STEP ONE USE YOUR SPIRITUAL GIFTS FOR GOD’S GLORY

  6. Spiritual Gift A. What were Paul’s unique gifts that enabled him to become an effective worker for God? Acts 22:3-5, 25-29 • Paul was a Roman citizen by birth • A zealous Jew who studied under the great Gamaliel

  7. Spiritual Gift • It is the act of speaking authoritatively for God • The spiritual gifts are meant to prepare us to successfully do God’s work no matter what the circumstances. B. What is the gift of prophecy? I Corinthians 12:10

  8. STEP TWO SHARE THE BIBLE-TESTED TRUTH TO OTHERS

  9. Tested Truth A. What does the Bible teach about counterfeit gifts and their origin? Matthew 7:22,23 • Counterfeit gifts can be similar manifestations from a different source—Satan. • We must test them by the Bible. The Bible must be our ultimate standard.

  10. Tested Truth B. How can we account for predictions by people who had little in common with the biblical prophets? Acts 16:16 • Satan has used variety of human mediums to deceive men and women, including the giving of predictions that have come true. • They should be tested by standards of the Bible.

  11. SUMMARY • By using our spiritual gifts for God’s glory • By sharing the Bible-tested truths to others WE CAN HELP IN FINISHING GOD’S WORK
