  • All Districts Required to Implement Direct certification by July 1, 2008
    • method of directly certifying students as eligible for free meals
  • Districts may implement through any combination of match systems:
    • State: New State-level Direct Certification match using CSIS student data
    • Local: Directly certify children on Food Stamps or CalWORKS
    • Combination: state and local match systems
