    5. The Clear Choice Information Availability This slide represents just a selection of some of our customers. We have a diverse customer base that spans vertical markets like financial services, retail, manufacturing, technology, media, gaming and life sciences just to name a few. You might also readily recognize some of these companies and their logos. However, note that many of them also are SMB accounts that have found the solutions Vision offers to be a perfect fit for customers of their size. This slide represents just a selection of some of our customers. 7. Understanding Downtime IBM States that when you are looking at downtime on the iSeries more that 90% is due to planned events. Things like Back-ups and Saves, IBM OS Upgrades, File Reorgs, Hardware and Software upgrades, Systems Migrations, etc. They then state that 9% of Downtime is due to unplanned Events. Things such as Power Outages, Disk Drive Failures, Backplane Failures. At the tip of the Iceberg 1% of downtime or less is due to actual disasters. Things such as Fires, Floods, Hurricanes, Tornados, Earthquakes, etc. Question: Is this in line with your experience on System i? Is the majority of your downtime due to planned events? Have you ever experienced an unplanned or disaster related outage? Transition to next Slide: IBM States that when you are looking at downtime on the iSeries more that 90% is due to planned events. 9. Driving Innovation Together Since 1990 Vision is the original developer of HACMP (Clam Associates) Close relationships across R&D teams in Rochester, Waltham, Dorchester and Shenzhen with IBM labs and innovation centers Collaborative efforts complement clustering, XSM/HASM and HACMP initiatives Co-authoring IBM Redbooks and technical publications As mentioned earlier, Vision is the original developer of IBM’s HACMP offering. Since 1990, we have held close relationships involving IBM’s i and AIX platforms. Having adjacent laboratories in Rochester, Minnesota (USA) has resulted in deep product innovation and collaboration. We also have valuable relationships with IBM’s Austin, Texas (USA) and Shenzhen (China) labs, and numerous innovation centers around the world. A couple of illustrative collaborative efforts include our Cluster1 + HASM/XSM integration, our HACMP product development history and our EchoStream offering that fully complements HACMP.As mentioned earlier, Vision is the original developer of IBM’s HACMP offering. 10. Strong IBM Relationship IBM’s largest Premier Business Partner in disaster recovery and high availability. Close ties with IBM leadership, labs and distribution teams Vision AIX solutions have achieved IBM’s top certifications, including the prestigious System Storage Proven and Server Proven stamps of approval. Vision accounts for more than 80% of the worldwide IBM hardware revenue that is associated with high availability and is in the top five of all ISVs in driving IBM worldwide revenue. Vision is associated with the majority of IBM Capacity Backup (CBU) sales. Vision and IBM’s partnership provides excellent value to our mutual customers, driving high customer satisfaction rates and creating new market opportunities. 13. EchoStream More than just replication, way more! Continuous Data Protection (CDP) allows for recovery from any previous point in time. Protect more than just the hardware. Make RPO a variable and RTO much faster. 15. Advantages of EchoStream Capable of creating a read/write clone of production data from any point in time Virtual Role Swap Backup with no down time Migrate while active Data extraction with no impact to source Testing Training Advanced data recovery capabilities Variable PRO – Trail and error recovery

    17. There are 5 parts to this slide. Part 1 Part 1 is the explanation of EchoStream’s basic replication capabilities. Hit on the key points. Only replicates changes and compresses information before sending, time ordered to maintain data consistency, storage can be heterogeneous. Part 2 Part 2 introduces the undo log as the mechanism that enables the rewind function. The two most common questions asked here are: How big does is the undo log? and How far back can I rewind? Because one of these questions almost always gets asked and they are related its best to give the answers. “How far back in time you can rewind is determined by the size of the undo log. The size of the undo log is determined by your average daily rate of change and how far back in time you would like to be able to rewind. For example, if your average daily change rate is 5GB and you want to be able to go back two days you would need a 10GB undo log.” Part 3 Now that they understand the basic replication capabilities and the role the undo log plays you need to introduce the recovery capabilities provided by the undo log. “If you want to go back to a previous point in time you now have two options. The first option would be to physically rewind production storage. It’s like using the “Edit/Undo” function in Microsoft Word on your storage. This is a powerful recovery capability but you will only use it if something drastic happened to the production system. Major corruption. If something was deleted you wouldn’t want to rewind everything, you would just want the deleted item back. In this case you would pull up a clone on the recovery system.” At this point advance the slide and it will show the clone being created while you jump to part 4. Part 4 Here is where you introduce the clone. “The clone is a point-in-time, read/write view of production storage. Once the clone is up you can use it just like you would use the production file systems. To recover a deleted file you would use standard AIX commands to find the file and then you could FTP is back to the production system. To recover a deleted database table you would start the database on the recovery server, use standard DB tools to export the table, FTP the information back to the production server, and then use standard DB tools to import the data back into the production database.” It’s probably best to keep the discussion here about the recovery capabilities. You want to drive home the point that the recovery capabilities provided by CDP are over and above basic replication. The additional uses of the clone will be discussed fully in the next slide. Part 5 In the last section of the slide you want to let the prospect know that while the clone is in use they are not unprotected. Replication continues to occur. There are 5 parts to this slide. 24. Vision PowerPack for AIX Resilience – HACMP Edition PowerPack components Vision EchoStream IBM storage Solution Adds disaster recovery with any point in time continuous data protection (CDP) and Clones Offer Purchase EchoStream with storage and receive an IBM rebate Vision continues to work with IBM to create and launch mid-market offerings that drive significant revenue. As part of this effort Vision and IBM have worked together to identify products, define PowerPacks and define, fund and execute go-to-market plans. As part of this program two AIX focused PowerPacks have been defined. The first one is the Vision PowerPack for AIX Resilience – HACMP Edition. As discused earlier, EchoStream can be used to add a cost effective DR component to existing HACMP enabled high availability environments. EchoStream complements HACMP installations in that it easily plugs into the environment and provides all of the key benefits listed on the previous slide.
