  2. Right To Be Informed Data controllers, who get your personal information must inform you of their identity and purpose for keeping your data. (c) St. Patrick's Catherdal Grammar School Form 3 2005

Right to Establish the Existence of Personal Data A written request by the data subject to establish the existence of personal data by a firm on a data subject must be replied to within 21 days, giving a description of such data and why it is kept. Right to have Incorrect Information removed or corrected If the data held about someone is incorrect, then the data subject can request it be corrected and if the reason for its collection in the first place is no longer relevant the data subject can request it being deleted.   5. Right of access to your files Every data subject has the right to see what data is held about him/her. The request for such information must be in writing and the company holding the data has 40 days to reply. This right does not apply to data held by the guards.
