EURIS GOALS • Overall Goal: To contribute to the Opening Up of EU Regions Innovation ecosystems through the embracement of Open Innovation, in terms of accelerated cooperation rates among Innovation Stakeholders. • Specific Objectives: 1. The development of more effective Regional Innovation Strategies through the mutual learning, exchange and transfer of Good Practices, on the field of collaborative policies conducive to Open Innovation. 2. The dissemination and transfer of such Good Practices to EU Regions. 3. The delivery of Policy Recommendations for regional Innovation Stakeholders to embrace Open Innovation.

EURIS INTERREGIONAL CALL FOR SUBPROJECTS • EURIS Call: • As a Miniprogramme, EURIS allows regional public Stakeholders to participate on interregional Subprojects for the exchange or development of new models on the policy area addressed. • EURIS Scope: • Exchange of experiences and Good Practices on Policies conducive to Open Innovation environments. • Development of new approaches or policies conducive to Open Innovation environments.

EURIS INTERREGIONAL CALL FOR SUBPROJECTS • EURIS Thematic areas: 5 policy areas contributing to the development of Innovation Ecosystems and Frameworks conducive to Open Innovation: • Networking and Collaboration. • Human Capital and Entrepreneurship Culture. • IP management and Technology Markets. • Access to Finance. • Knowledge and Science and Technology base.

  8. PROJECT DATA • Acronym: SFFS • Title: Stimulating Open Innovation through Shared Facilities and Facility Sharing • Website: www.euris-ssfs.eu (under construction) • Duration: April 2011 – November 2012 • Total Budget: 416.576,70 € • EC Contribution (ERDF): 320.126,47 €

  10. SFFS Subproject Goals Main objective: • To exchange knowledge and best practices on development, business models and management of Shared Facilities (SF) and Facility Sharing (FS). Sub-objectives: • to identify, select, analyse and exchange good examples and best practices on shared facilities and facility sharing as a support structure for open innovation; 2. to deliver practical guidelines, business models and policy recommendations for regional policy-makers and public innovation stakeholders;

SFFS Subproject Goals (2) Sub-objectives: 3. to transfer the general recommendations and lessons learnt from the exchange activities to the specific regional situation of the participating regions, to either optimize or study the feasibility or start-up of shared facilities and/or facility sharing within the different participating regions; 4. to disseminate the knowledge and best practices to other EU-regions.
