Peer Specialist Committee of Waukesha CountyA Waukesha County Mental Health Advisory Committee Sub-committee June 2011 A Peer Specialist is a person who has not only lived the experience of mental illness but also has had formal training in the peer specialist model of mental health supports. They are employed with various mental health services and have varied roles. The Peer Specialist Committee of Waukesha County is the clearing house for information on current events, training, continuing education and networking, to give Peer Specialists a voice in the community.
