  1. Maintaining Swimming Pool during Corona Virus

  2. The outbreak of COVID-19 is posing a great threat to human lives. To prevent the transmission of this Corona virus many of the swimming pools are being closed around the world. But the question is: Are swimming pools safe from this growing pandemic?

  3. Emerging research suggests proper maintenance and disinfection of pools can render the Corona virus inactive. So in this article, we will be sharing handy tips you can follow to keep swimming pools safe from Covid-19.

  4. Sanitation Proper sanitation can remove the traces of potential viruses including the corona virus. Also, ensure the pH level of your pool water is balanced to prevent the pools from contamination. You can also use sanitizers such as a UV system or Ozone to eliminate viruses from water.

  5. Wash It is highly advised to wash the pool towels in hot water to prevent infection. Also, wash the pool deck with chlorinated water to eliminate the presence of viruses if any.

  6. Pool Size 1 person per 3 linear feet is the recommended user load for almost all pool sizes. So make sure you don’t exceed the limit.

  7. Keep Out Don’t let anyone who is unwell to use the pool. Ask him/her to take rest and get medical assistance at the earliest. This is very important because once you let anyone sick use the pool you are actually letting the bacteria or virus in.

  8. Use Pool Cover Installing swimming pool covers can protect the pools from bacteria and viruses. For example, You can find a lot of swimming pool cover manufacturers in Australia offering covers with different properties. Choosing an antibacterial swimming pool cover in Australia will be a wise decision.
