  1. Objectives and Classification of Industrial Water Treatment

  2. There is a myriad of objectives behind the application of industrial wastewater equipment. Primarily it focuses on the areas of scaling, corrosion, microbiological activity, disposal of water, and many more. Also, there are different classifications for water treatment.

  3. Objectives : As mentioned earlier, the cornerstones of treating water revolve around four areas. The first one in this list is scaling. It is the process caused by the precipitation of water mineral salts that results in solid deposit formation.

  4. The second one is corrosion; it is a common problem that takes place once the metal is oxidized and forms into iron rusts. The other two areas evolve on microbiological activities and by the disposal of wastewater. Microbes cause a lot of problems, especially in cold water systems.

  5. This type of situation commonly persists in untreated areas and comes in the form of flies, fungal spores, grass, dust, and many more. When disposing of the wastewater, one must follow and act according to the standards prescribed by the community.

  6. Classifications : Boiler water treatment uses a vessel to heat and treat water. It is useful in heating applications such as domestic use and generators. The cooling water system makes use of the cooling towers. The cooling towers help to remove the heat from the system.

  7. They do the evaporation process to remove the heat from the system and then cool it down to become a working fluid. The wastewater treatment is utilized in various industries as well as in domestic residences. It helps to remove the waste materials discharged by commercial properties and agricultural systems.
