  3. Types of law • Divine Law (from God) a) physical laws (physics, chemistry, etc.) b) moral laws (unchangeable) • directs human actions • gives rules of right & wrong • should & should not do in view of the final goal of eternal happiness

  4. Human Laws (civil & church) a) do not bind human universally b) not the source of moral laws -- expresses, interprets and sometimes enforces basic moral laws • basic moral law: do good & avoid evil
