Charles Dickens

Charles Dickens. Since the coronation of Queen Victoria in 1837, until his death in 1901, it was a time of social transformation that forced writers to take positions on issues more immediate. Despite strong social criticism that arose in many of his works, Queen Victoria was a fan of Dickens.

  2. Since the coronation of Queen Victoria in 1837, until his death in 1901, it was a time of social transformation that forced writers to take positions on issues more immediate. Despite strong social criticism that arose in many of his works, Queen Victoria was a fan of Dickens.

  3. Dickens enjoyed a wider popularity and fame than had any previous author during his lifetime, and he remains popular, having been responsible for some of English literature's most iconic novels and characters. 9. OPINION/SOME INFORMATION ABOUT ONE OF THEM. I think Charles Dikend is one of the most important writers of history and for that reason even today he is regarded as a great novelist. The book that I like most is "A Christmas Carol" because Charles tells the story of a man very stingy and selfish. But the three ghosts of Christmas  make him a visit and change his way of being.  Finally the old stingy man becomes a very generous and kind person.
