  19. THE LEGACY OF SOCRATES 1. Shifts explanations from mythical to logical, rational inquiry. 2. Shifts the focus from Nature/Cosmos to the human individual. 3. Extends the idea of a Good Person from the few (warrior elite) to everyone willing to examine himself critically, seek the truth, and discover the right thing to do. 4. Dies not for Honor and Glory but for personal principles arrived at through a method of rational inquiry.
