  1. Putting Together Your INB Science Department 2013-2014

  2. The Cover • Using Packaging Tape, tape your Index Card Tag on cover of your INB • For homework, you can take your journal home and tape pictures of your family/friends on the cover

  3. The Binding • Stick a piece of ribbon on the sticky side of the Duct Tape • Using the Duct Tape, place your tape over the binding of your journal

  4. The Back Cover • Using a hole puncher, punch a hole in the top, left corner of your back cover (not too close to the edge) • Loop a rubber band through the hole to hold your pages tightly together

  5. Inside, Front Cover • Glue the small clasp envelope inside the front cover • Glue our Group Policies on top of the clasp envelope

  6. First 7 Pages • This is where we will glue in our 7 Table of Contents Pages

  7. Number Pages • In 3 minutes, I want you to number as many pages as possible 7 6

  8. Resource Section (Word Backwards) • Glue in the STAAR Resource Page on the inside, back cover

  9. On the back of the very last page, Glue in the “Thinking Stems”

  10. On the front of the last page, glue in the “Root Words”

  11. Before that, title it “Scientist Hall of Fame”

  12. Before that, glue in the Lab Equipment picture

  13. Before that, title it “Flinn Safety Contract”

  14. Before that, write in large letters “Resource Section”
