  2. 1. Recognize For what it is TRUTH “Your word is truth” Jn. 17:17 “Obeying the truth” 1 Pet. 1:22-25 Truth Knowledge

  3. TRUTH 2. Love “They received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved” 2 Thess. 2:10 “Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.” Matt. 5:6 “For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome.” 1 Jn. 5:3

Seek & Study “For Ezra had prepared his heart to seek the law of the LORD, and to do it, and to teach in Israel statutes and judgments.” Ezra 7:10 “If anyone wills to do His will, he shall know concerning the doctrine, whether it is from God or whether I speak on My own authority.” Jn. 7:17 “searched the scriptures daily” Acts 17:11

Distinguish From Error TRUTH “But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you...” 2 Pet. 2:1 “But they were hearing only, He who formerly persecuted us now preaches the faith which he once tried to destroy.” Gal. 1:23 “Beloved, believe not every spirit, but test the spirits whether they are of God” 1 Jn. 4:1

  6. TRUTH 5. Learn “And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” Jn. 8:32 “And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.” Jn. 17:3 “ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.” 2 Tim. 3:7

Believe & Trust “He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform.” Rom. 4:20-21 Acts 8 - Eunuch heard “Jesus” preached - Pre-existence - Mission - Life - Death - burial - resurrection - ascension

  8. TRUTH 7. Do not Add or Take Away Rev. 22:18-19 “if any man adds” “takes away” Deut. 4:2 “You shall not add to” “neither diminish” Implications: - God is not omniscient - Man becomes his own authority

Trust in It’s Sufficiency Sufficient = enough, adequate, competent “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” 2 Tim. 3:16
