  4. UKIEG: Background Established in 2003, to co-ordinate and provide a focus for UK activity concerned with improving indoor environments for people.

UKIEG 2017/18 • 2017 AGM (26th April) minutes approved by Committee available on web site • Committee held 6 meetings hosted by UCL; Jul, Dec, Nov17, Jan, Mar, May18 • Committee chaired by Marcella Ucci until Jan 18 when Derrick Crump took on the role • Thanks to all officers and ordinary members for freely giving their time and expertise

  11. Examples; Interfacing with policy makers Representation at 5 meetings of the APPG including oral submission of evidence and written comments on draft green paper Submission supporting proposed Clean Air Bill and requesting recognition of importance of indoor environments

Examples; Interfacing with policy makers Submissions / contributions Cross-Government Group on Overheating, 12 June 2017 (Marcella Ucci) NICE; Development of guidance on indoor air quality in the home (Paul Harrison) Policy Workshop Follow-up Major effort to organise a meeting to promote recommendations of the UKIEG 2016 policy workshop (including cancellation due to PM calling election). Isabella Myers to report on joint meeting held 20th March.

  13. Item 2 UKIEG Constitution 6. Membership of the UKIEG Committee I The Officers of the UKIEG Committee shall be as follows: • Chairman • Vice Chairman • Committee Secretary • Membership Secretary Ii There shall in addition be up to 4 Ordinary Members of the Committee Iii The Officers and Ordinary Members of the Committee shall be elected in accordance with Article 8. Iv The Committee shall be free to co-opt additional Ordinary Members, with a term of office up to the next AGM, as necessary. (note: constitution is available on UKIEG web site (members))

Item 2 Proposed amendment to constitution Amendment proposed by committee; Amendment to clause 6 iv to enable contributions from specialists unable to attend meetings e.g. because of working abroad or nature of working day. The Committee shall be free to co-opt additional Ordinary Members, with a term of office up to the next AGM, as necessary. Amend to; The Committee shall be free to co-opt additional Ordinary Members (including corresponding only Ordinary Members), with a term of office up to the next AGM, as necessary.
