  3. Dative Adjective Endings An example of an unpreceded, dative adjective ending would be the following. Note that unpreceded here means that it is not preceded by an article. The adjective is preceded, however, by a dative preposition. Zu deutschem Bier (n) isst er deutsche Weiβwurst (f). Wir sind mit guten Freunden (pl) ins Kino gegangen.
