  2. Giotto • Giotto’s full name is Giotto di Bondone. • Giotto was born in 1266 and he died in 1337. • Giotto was born and he died in Florence, Italy.

  3. Gothic and Renaissance • Giotto art style was usually gothic and early renaissance. • Giotto’s art pieces had the virgin Mary and angels in them. • Giotto would go and paint the ceiling and walls of churches.

  4. Arena Chapel • The arena chapel was built in 1303. • Giotto painted the Arena Chapel with virgin Mary and the life of Christ. • Then on the lower parts of the wall is figures.

  5. Art style Giottos art style has a lot of solid bulky figures. Most work he does is on churches. In Giottos work he looks like he’s trying to tell a story.
