  17. Community on the Rise UpdateFeasibility Study – Status Report1 June 2009 The current phase of the project is the feasibility study. A key part of that study has been to receive comments, questions and advice from the people of the church. The following list presents those comments, questions and advice and our responses to them. The next part of the feasibility study is to conduct a “Needs Analysis”. We will commence that Needs Analysis starting the second week of June. This process will be facilitated by an independent professional advisor. The Needs Analysis will involve discussions within the church and with the wider community to determine what (if anything) needs to be done to contribute to the Kalamunda Church of Christ’s mission of: “Building a Community that Impacts the World and Grows God’s Kingdom” and our vision of: Kalamunda Church of Christ is an “irresistible” Christian Community where people become fully devoted Disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ. The conclusion of the Needs Analysis will be to determine whether or not we need to build a new facility and if so, how it will look. The results of this work and recommendations will be presented to the congregation at the AGM in October. At the AGM, if a building is recommended, conceptual plans and costs will also be presented. If the congregation agrees to move forward with those plans, then detailed designs and approvals will be sought. Before committing to any construction (assuming that the needs analysis indicates it is appropriate), a special congregational meeting will be convened to congregational approval.
