  4. Who are Foundation Apprenticeships for? Pupils entering S5 MOST LIKELY PUPILS LOOKING to achieve up to 2 Highers A fantastic opportunity to get significant relevant work experience as well as a qualification

  5. College attendance 6 hours per week either in a school or college For most courses, one day a week in a workplace visited by college lecturer to assess “on the job”

  6. Engineering; Civil Engineering; Social Services and Healthcare; andChildren and Young People require additional time in college/placement, mainly in S6 Allpupil travel expenses to the workplaceoranother campus arepaid

College HNC/HND courses: Foundation Apprenticeships are accepted for related college courses University – most Scottish universities accept the FA as equivalent to one or more highersfor ucas applications Modern Apprenticeship move into a MA with an employer in the same industry
