  3. Warm-up Monday 3/29 Word order: Rearrange the following phrases to make a meaningful sentence. 开始 还 招待会  没有 做的 尝尝 请 面包 你们 我  非常 能  你们  高兴  认识

  4. Activity: 10 Questions 十个问题 • Four groups • Each group will be given 10 index cards. Your team is to come up with 10 questions within ten minutes, one on each card, using 了patterns and L27 vocabulary. • Members of group 1 take turns asking 10 of your questions, one at a time. Other teams compete to answer questions. Raise your hand when you know how to answer the question. No one in any group can get to “go again” until everyone in your team has gone once. Coach each other! • A correct question wins one point; a correct answer wins one point. • The maximum number of points a team can win for asking questions is 10. • Once a question has been asked, no other group can ask precisely the same question. It is a good idea to have some spare questions for a replacement. • Once team one has asked all 10 questions, the turn rotates to group 2. • The team with the highest score wins.

  7. 再, 又usage Both are adverbs  Both indicate the repetition of an action Difference: 再: The repetition has not been repeated yet. 又: The repetition has already occurred. 1.他昨天去了图书馆,今天还要再去。 2.他昨天去了图书馆,今天又去了。

  10. 4Q4A activity Direction Wed 3/31 • 1. There are 8 groups with 3 persons (A,B,C ) in each group. • 2.“A” person is in charge of the sentence pattern sign, “B” person writes a sentence, “C” person presents the sentence. Students will rotate the roles during the activity by themselves. • 3.Each team will be assigned a sentence pattern sign (there are 8 different sentences pattern #1-#8) each time. • 4.Teacher says a phrase and each team’s “B” person has 30 seconds to write a sentence by using the assigned phrase and sentence pattern. • 5.Each team member will help to make sure their team’s sentence is correct. • 6.Listen to teacher’s signal and each “C” person will read the sentence to the whole class. • 7.Reading the sentence correctly (tone & pronunciation) wins one point; a correctly written sentence also wins one point. • 8.After this round is over, “A” person will get another new sentence pattern sign for the team. • 9.Teacher says another new phrase and so on. (at least 8 phrases so each team can practice with 8 sentence patterns) • 10.The team with the highest score wins.

Role Play Activity • Form a group of 3 people. • Your team will write a play which should include all of the following sentence patterns ( #1-#8). • You will have 20 minutes to decide a theme, write out a script (need to underline the sentence pattern) and practice. • Script should include the who, where, what, when, how, why. • Presentation time is 1-2 minutes long. • You will be assessed both as a team and as an individual.
