  3. Administrative Reminders • Sign out daily. Place a checkmark in the box if you are here and not leaving. • If you are staying at MHHS, you need to be under the supervision of someone in the building. • Check your mailbox and your email daily (and not just during 6th period). • Check your grades on a regular basis.

  4. Fourth Quarter Grades and Assignments! Each of you has a personalized list of things to accomplish this quarter; you are each very much in charge of what needs to be done during the April and May!

  5. Fourth Quarter Grades and Assignments! • The Old Standards… • Obj/Journal • April 11th • April 26th • May 9th (last for seniors) • May 23rd • June 6th • April/May Conference • April 26th – May 10th (Note change; pay attention to your AP Exam schedule when signing up for a conference)

  6. Final Synthesis Paper • 100 points total • Due April 4th • Follow the format presented on the handout, “Format for the Synthesis Paper Final Draft.” Attach the first, graded draft to this paper with a paper clip. I won’t be in the building after 12pm – I will leave a box outside my office door for the papers.

  7. Display Board • 100 points • Due 4/13 • Consider the booklet on display design carefully while completing this assignment. • All material that will be posted on your display board should be edited by me. • Boards will be graded in early-May – this is a spot check

  8. Oral Presentation • 50 points • Seniors – complete between May 2nd and May 11th • Everyone else - Complete presentation to classes during the month of May (date varies depending when final product is finished). • Completed version of the 3rd Quarter presentation to an academic class related to your research topic. • You will receive a handout to give to the teacher when setting up your presentation.

  9. Final Abstract • Final Abstract – • 25 points – due May 6th • Please update the Abstract submitted third quarter. Please be sure to include your results. Print an updated copy to attach to your synthesis paper. Submit the new abstract with the edited version attached with a paper clip.

  10. Final Product AND Written Feedback • Due May 12th for seniors and June 6th for everyone else • Delivered as promised in the research proposal and feedbackfrom your mentor and the target audience • - Product as graded by Dr. Kiehl– 100 points • - Product and Feedback from other sources • - 50 points for evaluation from mentor/advisor (I will provide) • - 50 points for evaluations you create for target audience

  11. Final Product (continued) • Should be viewed/edited by me before it is sent to anyone else. •  Target Audience • Might need cover letter • How to get “out” and “back” •  If you need to reserve a space, DO IT NOW! •  If you need copies made, SEE ME NOW!

  12. Celebration of Excellence! • Attendance is worth 100 points! • May 11th – 6:15pm arrival for students; 7-8:30pm event, 8:30-9pm clean-up • Mount Hebron Cafeteria • Your advisor/mentor will receive an invitation, but you should make sure your advisor has been invited!!Your advisor/mentor will receive an invitation, but you should make sure they have been invited!! • Your boards will be on display and you will be expected to stand by your board to answer questions from adults and other students.

  13. Thank you Card & Gift • You should consider getting your mentor something to thank them for working with you. • You could deliver it at the CoE, or during your last visit to your internship.

  14. Portfolio – Final Exam!! • Rubric attached to G&A sheet. • 200 points • Due May 20th for seniors and June 13th for everyone else • On day of Final, your graded portfolio will be returned, and you will do a peer review.

  15. Reminders and Open Agenda • Fourth Quarter Hours – • 20 for seniors, 30 for juniors • Due no later than May 20th for Seniors • During lunch conferences, we’ll discuss how to wrap up everything! • Talk to your mentor about your when your last day will be. • Grade due no later than May 20th for seniors • You needs lots of items from your mentor in fourth quarter… plan accordingly. • Upcoming Seminars – • Thursday, April 28th
