  5. ইতিহাস এই প্রোগ্রামটি শুরু হয় ১৯৫৬সালে যুক্তরাজ্যে । এই প্রোগ্রামের উদ্যোক্তা বৃটিশ রাজ পরিবারের প্রিন্স ফিলিপ। ১৪-২৫বছর বয়সের যুব সমাজকে স্বেচ্ছাসেবী এবং কিছু আত্ম উন্নয়নমূলক কাজের সাথে জড়িত রেখে সুদক্ষ মানুষ হিসেবে গড়ে তোলাই হচ্ছে এর মূল উদ্দেশ্য। বর্তমানে ১৩১ টি দেশে এর কার্যক্রম চলছে।

  10. কেন আমরা DUKEএরসদস্যহবো? : ১। নিজের এবং সমাজের অন্যদের প্রতি দায়িত্ববোধ। ২। সৃজনশীলতা বৃদ্ধি। ৩। পছন্দমত চাকুরী পাওয়ার ক্ষেত্রে সহযোগিতা। ৪। সারা বিশ্ব থেকে Scholarshipপাওয়ারক্ষেত্রে সহযোগিতা। ৫। আন্তর্জাতিকনেটওয়ার্কবৃদ্ধি। ৬। আত্মবিশ্বাস ও দৃঢ় মনোবলের অধিকারি। ৭। বিদেশী সংস্থার সাথে সম্পৃক্ততা। ৮। জাতীয় এবং আন্তর্জাতিক বিভিন্ন অনুষ্ঠানে যোগদানের সুযোগ।

  11. ৯। সমাজ সেবার ক্ষেত্রে সচেতনতা এবং বিভিন্ন বিখ্যাত সংস্থার সাথে সম্পৃক্ততা। ১০। নতুনপরিবেশেরসাথেনিজেকেখাপখাওয়ানো। 11। নিজেরপ্রতি ও অন্যেরপ্রতিদায়িত্বশীলহওয়া। ১২। শৃঙ্খলা, ধৈর্য, প্রেষণা ও দক্ষতার উন্নয়ন। ১৩। সময়ের সদ্ব্যবহার ও দক্ষ পরিকল্পনার উন্নয়ন। ১৪। চারপাশের বিভিন্ন সুযোগ সুবিধা সম্পর্কে সচেতনতা বৃদ্ধি। ১৫। কর্মদক্ষতা বৃদ্ধি।

  12. The Award is for young people aged 14-25 • and Comprises of three levels : 1. Bronze - 6 Months 2. Silver - 6 Months 3. Golden - 12 Months • There are four sections at every level: 1. Social Service 2. Skill Development 3. Physical Recreation 4. Adventurous Journey

  13. The award is a personal challenge not • a competetion against others. • You are not comparing yourself with • anyone, what you are actually doing • is creating yourself
