  1. Higher Geography Revision The first N.A.B will happen on Tuesday 13th November. In this exam you will be tested on 2 things: • Lithosphere • Hydrosphere

  2. How is the N.A.B structured? In the N.A.B you will have to answer 3 questions. You will answer two 20 mark questions and one 10 mark question, totalling 50 marks The two 20 mark questions will be as follows; You will have one 20 mark question on Lithosphere And one 20 mark question on Hydrosphere The 10 mark question will be on either Lithosphere or Hydrosphere

What do you need to know… Lithosphere: • Features of glacial erosion • Features of glacial deposition • Features in an upland limestone area • Coastal landforms • Identifying features on O.S maps • Processes: • Freeze-Thaw • Abrasion • Plucking • Carbonation • Corrosion/Corrasion • Hydraulic Action etc..

  4. What do you need to know… Hydrosphere: • Hydrological Cycle • River Stages – characteristics etc. • Features at each stage • Main characteristics of a drainage basin • Hydrographs • Processes
