  2. Czesław Niemen (the real name is CzesławJuliuszWydrzycki) was born in Old Vasilishki, a village in Belarus, in 1939. In 1958 he was repatriated to Poland. His scenical name is a pseudonym taken after the name of the river Niemen. HIS LIFE

  3. Debuted as a rock and soul singer in the early 1960's with the band „Blue and black”. Afterleaving the band he performed as a soloist and ledhisowngroups as well. He has also created music for theater and film. In the lastyears of hiscareer, he was alsocreatingcomputergraphics. CAREER

  4. His greatest hits include "Strange isthisWorld", "Do you still remember me", „beneaththe parrots" and "Dream of Warsaw". SUCCESS

  5. Outstanding artist died on 17 January 2004
