  2. Goal: Compare function of cell organelles to functions of organism • Warm Up: • List 3 organelles and their functions • (example- can’t use this one- chromosome= DNA, instructions for the cell)

  3. Cell Organelle Comparison Project • You will choose one project from the menu as a way to present your material. You need to explain the function of each cell organelle and compare it to the function of a body system or organ or a job. • The grading is: 3 points for each organelle, each function, and each comparison (81 pts) • 10pts for neatness & creativity; 9 pts turned in on time = Jan 8th

  4. Menu Choices • Venn Diagram – must have a title for entire diagram, & a title for each section • Game- 4 thematic game pieces, board with title, contain a set of rules for play • Cartoon/comic strip- must have at least 6 boxes/drawings, meaningful dialogue, creative use of color • Crossword puzzle- puzzle and answer key • Collage- no clip art, pictures from magazines or internet, labeled- organelle, function, comparison • Song- words that make sense, must be at least 2 minutes • Acrostic- use “organelle” or other word down the middle, then use it to list organelle, functions, & comparisons • Mobile- list all organelles, functions, & comparisons • News report- the who, what when of the project; turn in a script or perform it for the class • (purple=kinesthetic; yellow=visual; green=verbal; blue=written)
