Scope • The Publish command together with the Web based CAD Data Navigator provides a read-only access to published 3D models referenced in SmarTeamofficialprojects. • It allows you to view, inspect (measuring/sectioning) and navigate in the structure of published3D models using free of cost viewers. • Direct and permanent URLaddress to published document. 2012 June CATIA Forum - Publication & CDN

  3. Scope • The management (Publish/Revoke) of model publications is done in SmarTeam by its responsible (designer). CDN might improve/ease CAD information sharing but does not offer a SmarTeam export/import data integration process. 2012 June CATIA Forum - Publication & CDN

  4. SmarTeamMethodology Pre-requirements • Be responsible for the document. • A CATIA Part or CATIA Product document. • Document is Checked-In. • Document linked to a Official Project. Important ! • To satisfy traceability requirements, the Publish action assures that the document (and alldependencies) cannot be overwritten (at least Preliminary). • Sub-parts/products of a Published assembly model are not automatically published, but are all available via the parent publications. • 3DVIA file format created by default (3DPDF, STEP are optional) 2012 June CATIA Forum - Publication & CDN

SmarTeamMethodology Revoke Publication • A published document can be removed from the CAD Data Navigator using the command "RevokePublication“ by its responsible. • The preliminary state will be kept for traceability purpose.
