  4. Turin I’m leaving to United States to live in St.Louis so I can finish my research in tumor and cell with Mr. Hamburger my professor. I use to live in Turin Italy were there was large industries. There the weather was always cold. I Speak Italian. When I was finding out that I had to move to the United States I started practicing English.

  5. My Journey It took me along time get on the boat heading to Ellis Island where I'm suppose tso go through the immigration office, again. On the boat it was crowded. Mostly during the whole journey I had to stand. MY food was safely packed in my suitcase but barley have room to retch it In 1863 there was a war in Gettysburg against the north and South.   6. Boat Picture The boat we arrived in was full of immigrants heading to united state. We would all be crowding in a room. Mostly people slept on the floor because the beds were small and always crowded. On the boat your not suppose to show your possessions or somebody might steal them. Even when your had your meals you couldn’t show how much you had.

  7. Ellis island When we landed, we had number tags on our clothes I had go through the Inspection process. We were inspected by a team of doctors. If you were sick They would give you a blue mark. If the doctors knew you they couldn’t Help you, you were sent home. We also had to go through the inspectors asking us to follow his command. We ,the immigrants, and to Tell the inspectors our occupation, marital status, and destination in an attempt .

  8. It took along time to get my documents. When I lost my documentations form, I had to work for money to pay for a new one. I had a hard time finding the language I couldn't understand My Journal I was frustrated when there was none available to translate the wording of directions. ~~~~~
