  2. The résumé • A résumé is a 1-3 page summary of the most relevant skills, education and experience • Use when applying for business, industry, governmental, and non-profit jobs • Most commonly expected in North America for all nonacademic jobs examples

  3. The CV • The Curriculum Vita (or CV) includes a summary of your educational and academic backgrounds as well as teaching and research experience, publications, presentations, awards, honors, affiliations and other details • There is no page-limit on your CV • Present a CV for academic positions including faculty openings, assistantships, and internships; also common to grant, scholarship, and fellowship applications

  4. The CV, cont. • Cultural difference – employers in Europe, the Middle East, Africa or Asia will expect a CV, regardless of position type examples
