Form of Organisation/Management • Usaha Hotel harus berbentuk Badan Usaha dan Tunduk kepada Hukum Indonesia. • Hotel bintang 1 (satu) dan 2 (dua) bentuk badan usaha dapat berupa Perseroan Terbatas (PT), Perseroan Komanditer (CV), Firma (Fa), atau Koperasi. • Hotel bintang 3 (tiga), 4 (empat), 5 (lima) bentuk Badan Usaha harus berupa Perseroan Terbatas (PT).

Perizinan • ISUP : • Ijin Pemasangan Lift, Boiler, Generator, Peralatan Elektronik dan Mekanik • ITUP meliputi: ISUP dan • Ijin Mempergunakan Fasilitas • Ijin Penyelenggaraan Pelayanan • Ijin Keramaian dan Pertunjukan Terbatas • Ijin Siaran Video dan Parabola • Ijin Minuman Keras • Hotel Classification: Bintang (), Non -Bintang or Melati (), Losmen

Perizinan • Untuk membangun dan mengusahakan hotel harus memiliki Izin Sementara dan Izin Tetap Usaha Hotel. • Izin Sementara Usaha hotel atau Izin Tetap Usaha Hotel tidak dapat dipindahtangankan kecuali atas izin tertulis dari Direktur Jenderal Pariwisata atau pejabat yang ditunjuk. • Izin Sementara Usaha Hotel berlaku untuk jangka waktu 3 (tiga) tahun dan dapat diperpanjang dengan persetujuan tertulis Kanwil DepBudPar / BKPMD. • Izin Tetap Usaha Hotel berlaku selama perusahaan yang bersangkutan masih menjalankan usahanya. • Penyediaan jasa lainnya di lingkungan hotel yang tidak menjadi bagian dari Izin Tetap Usaha Hotel wajib diselenggarakan atas dasar izin Usaha Tersendiri.

Perizinan • Untuk memudahkan pengawasan maka kepada perusahaan yang memiliki Izin Tetap Usaha Hotel diberikan Tanda Izin Usaha untuk dipasang di tempat yang muda dilihat umum. • Izin Sementara Usaha Hotel dan Izin Tetap Usaha Hotel diberikan oleh Kanwil DepBudPar/BKPMD. • Salinan Izin sementara Usaha Hotel dan Izin tetap usaha Hotel disampaikan kepada instansi teknis yang bersangkutan. • Untuk permintaan dan pemberian Izin Sementara Usaha Hotel dan Izin Tetap Usaha Hotel serta pemberian penetapan Golongan kelas hotel tidak dikenakan pungutan. • Usaha hotel terbuka untuk PMA dan PMDN.

Higher star ratings indicate more luxury. • The AAA in US and their affiliated bodies use diamonds instead of stars. • In Indonesia, Hotels are classified based on • Number of rooms • Facilities • Furniture, Fixture and Equipment • Quality of Service

  10. The Objectives of Hotel Classification • Guideliness for hotel investor • Description of facilities and services provided by hotel management according to classification • Hotel image for prospective guests • Competitive advantages • Balance between supply and demand of hotel rooms.

Human Resources Type of worker • Full time (Permanent Worker) • Part time (Daily Worker) • Contract based (Casual Worker) Foreign worker in hotel in Indonesia • 5 star hotels - 2 persons (General Manager (GM) and Executive Chef) • 4 star hotels – 1 person (GM) • 3, 2 and 1 star hotels – no foreigners

  14. Conclusion • In establishing a hotel in Indonesia, ISUP and ITUP must be achived. • Although hotels are classified into 'Star' categories (1-Star to 5-Star), there is no standard method of assigning these ratings, and compliance with customary requirements is voluntary
