Key Questions to Ask Caller Tell me about your situation: • Where & when do you experience drifting SHS? • Do you keep a log of the drifting smoke? • What kind of housing do you live in? • Do you have breathing disability/health issues? • Have you spoken with the neighbor or landlord? • What was your landlord’s response? • What would the ideal solution look like to you?

  5. 2.Empathize with Caller • I’m so sorry to hear about your situation. • I know it’s frustrating to have smoke come into your home & impact your health. • You have the right to speak up to protect your health. • It’s okay to ask for a smokefree building.
