Common Student System • Resolution passed at the June 2002 BOT designating SCT Banner as the common Student Information System for the three campuses • UA and UAH Student System Projects are currently underway • With the Oracle HR and Finance system go-lives behind us, UAB is now ready to begin the Student Information System Project

Student Analysis • Oct 2004 to Jan 2005 - Approximately 80 participants reviewed key processes • Representatives from Student Services Offices, Professional Schools, and the Academic Departments • Processes Reviewed • Scheduling and Registering Courses • Recruiting and Admitting Prospects • Billing and Processing Student Payments • Managing Faculty Workload • Auditing and Awarding Degrees • Processing Grades and Articulating Transfer Credit • Determined Fit/Gap of Banner Software • Majority of all processes can be accommodated or enhanced with the Banner baseline products.
