  4. Dative with Special Verbs • There are some verbs that are a bit funny. • While most verbs take an accusative noun: • MetellaQuintumlaudat. (Met. praises Quin.) • These few verbs take a dative instead: • MetellaQuintofavet. • MetellaQuintocredit. • MetellaQuintoplacet. • MetellaQuintorespondet.
