Mission Statement Assisting communities and non-profits with GIS implementation, supporting Oregon’s geospatial endeavors, and providing educational opportunities to students and citizens.
Why do this! • I believe that small communities are under served by the geo-spatial community • Either because they are unaware of the benefits, or • Because they do not think they can afford the technologies or services provided by the larger geo-spatial community
Why do this? • I think that a GIS can empower a local community/government and assist them in finding funding opportunities, in being more efficient; therefore serving their community more effectively. • I don’t believe that GIS or geo-spatial services are unaffordable. • I do think that once the benefits of thinking spatially are experienced by the community we intend to serve that there will be a greater need to obtain geo-spatial solutions.
