  41. Commandment or Covenant • COMMANDMENT (H1697 / G1785) signifies SPOKENWORDS or SPEECH, with various applications. The Ten Commandments were literally the TEN WORDS of the LORD[Ex 34:28; Deut 4:13].

  42. COVENANT (H1285 / G1242) • means a covenant, treaty, alliance, agreement. • Exodus 34:28 • … And he wrote on the TABLETS the WORDS of the COVENANT, the TEN COMMANDMENTS. Commandment or Covenant
