Courthouse Security Training Major/ High Profile Cases • Base your staffing on the security plan • Pre-plan for hearing—communication is key • Gather intelligence—make threat assessment • Meet and discuss plan • Use of other Law Enforcement officers • Case detectives (arresting agency) • Pull extra deputies (must be trained in court security) • Patrol, jail deputies, admin staff, detectives,etc. • Include them in planning stages
