  1. How to Build an Unstyled Linked list of all Tags used in a WordPress Blog The tags used in a WordPress blog are like keywords. They are specific and focus attention on the core content on which a blog is written. It is a pre-defined taxonomy in WordPress. Tag clouds are widely used by web developers in WordPress to enable readers to sift through the content easily. Tags must not be confused with meta keywords. Bloggers tend to overuse tags due to this, even though you might use a WordPress plugin to use tag values in the meta keywords template. Similarly using categories is mandatory, while using tags is not. However, categories can only group your posts broadly and it is only tags that come of use in when you wish to draw the attention of readers to very specific areas in your posts. This is the reason why you need to keep revisiting and making changes to your tags. The task becomes much easier when the administrator has at his ready disposal, a list of unstyled tags. Normally styles are applied to the entire WordPress site. But there are options that allow you to style specific categories, pages, and tags. If you are building your site or even writing a blog from scratch, you can get ideas and restyle your previously used tags. If you wish to tailor an unstyled list of tags used, the following steps are essential: • Search the numerous ranges of parameters available in the WP functions gallery. • Go to the function wp_list_categories () function • There are multiple parameters available for the above function, with a specific function for each such parameters. Proper knowledge of how these parameters are to be used, is mandatory to get the unstyling done on time. • Choose the taxonomy parameter, which can be used for unstyling tags • The style parameter can be used to display the categories and not the post tags. • Using the taxonomy parameter, it is possible to create and obtain an unstyled link of all post tags. • They can be sorted and classified according to parameters like popularity. • Using the empty title-li parameter is the next step which removes the default "categories" title. This is the process of unstyling the tags in the backend. Tags have now a very important feature of WordPress, that enables readers to get hold more topic- specific content. It has the advantages of highlighting the subject matter of blogs. However, you need an unstyled version of tags in the backend for controlling the frontend appearance of blogs and to take better control of blog content. There are also cases when content may be uploaded for converting to PDF and the appearance of tags are irrelevant to the PDF viewer. In these cases, it becomes favourable to remove the styles from the tags. It is better to view the tags without the default categories and other styles. Ultimately, tags are styles for ease of visual navigation and to filter and sort content in a targeted manner.
