  1. Neo Software Energy Consumption Website.Team Members: Mendez, Oscar and Redden, Ronald Faculty Advisor: Dr. Blekhman, David and Dr. Abbott, Russell(Company Name) Liaison: Electrical Engineering Department.Department of Computer Science .College of Engineering, Computer Science, and TechnologyCalifornia State University, Los Angeles BACKGROUND The California State University – Los Angeles Energy Consumption project was started by the need for an online interface that would display the campus’ current and historical energy usage. The interface would allow the user to tap into the energy consumption database for the CSULA campus and view the exact energy usage for any particular building for a given day, week, month, or year (data collection started in 2006). This information can then be used to evaluate the campus’ energy consumption, and make informed decisions on where to cut energy usage and save money for the university. OJECTIVES Create a website that provides energy consumption information for all buildings on campus that has an energy meter. Only one page is accessible to the public, and pages that show energy consumption data for the individual buildings on campus require log-in status. Those that have login privileges can view energy data showing more specific information such as daily, weekly, monthly and yearly energy consumption. A page also links from the energy website to Johnson Controls and LADWP. The data that the website uses will come from the download of energy readings taken every five minutes from digital or analog readers placed at various buildings around campus (not all buildings have a reader). From there the website will update its data from last login and refresh every five minutes thereof. DELIVERABLES The Energy Consumption website so far consists of seven web pages. The site is built using Visual Studio C#, powered by Silver Light. The database backend is built on the Microsoft SQL server platform. The first page, which is considered the public page, shows the total energy consumption for the campus buildings. From there you link to the login page to view more content not available to the public. The login page links to the homepage that shows the location of the energy meters. The second page is where the overall energy consumption can be found for each of the buildings, the third page is used to query different dates for each building. Digital Meter
