CITY OF BANGKOK • Rapid industrialization and urbanization have caused Bangkok to face the population growth and social problem. • The most important problems are environmental degradation related to solid waste,air and water pollution. • Increasing intensity of these problems not only causes impact on public livelihood but also causes direct impact to the health of the people.

The reasons of ICT application on Public Cleansing burden • To collect the realistic information and solve the corruption on waste collection and transfer into 3 transfer station sites • To update and verify the report of waste arrival and departure from 3 transfer station sites • To develop the solid waste management system of BMA and enhance the efficiency of the public services and the urban environmental quality

  30. The Advantages of the Project • Verify the weight of waste both arrival and departure from 3 transfer stations • Increase the efficiency of waste collection vehicles • Support the energy conservation plan (vehicle fuel) • Improve the waste collection and transportation system

Future Vision on ICT Application for Public Cleansing Burden • Close Circuit Television System (CCTV) and Remote Monitoring System (RMS) • for monitoring and inspection the event from 3 transfer station sites • For controlling the waste transportation to landfill site and prevent the residual waste left over at 3 transfer station sites • Global Positioning System (GPS Tracking System) • For controlling and checking the position of collection vehicle and working status
