  1. The Benefits of Legal Writing for Lawyers lawprepare.blogspot.com/2020/12/the-benefits-of-legal-writing-for.html Legal writing involves the study of legal facts and the presentation of legal arguments in legal documents like briefs and legal Memorandums. One type of legal writing includes drafting a persuasive case study or argument. The other type of legal writing is authoritative and is advocated in favor of a legal perspective. While every writer has his/her personal style, most lawyers do not permit overt or emotional appeal in their legal writings. Nevertheless, legal writing can be an art form as well as a technical discipline. The legal analysis or legal writing, as opposed to litigation, is primarily concerned with presenting reasons why a claim is valid under the law. The legal analysis may include legal studies, case law analysis, case history research, case study and case studies, among others. Legal writing must contain citations to support its claims. Citations are the primary means of assessing and developing an argument. Common types of legal writing Some of the most common types of legal writing are briefs, opinion notes, legal drafting, case law analysis, statutory law, federal law, and legal writing for the courts. These are just some of the many subtopics that legal writing experts specialize in. Many law schools offer specialized certification or degrees in legal writing. For example, the University of Michigan offers an online program called Legal Writing for the 21st Century. The program helps students to prepare original legal writing in a systematic, methodical, comprehensive, and concise manner. Writing for the courts entails the use of formal language, including citations, references, and footnotes, in a relatively formal style. In addition, legal writing teachers and professors at law schools to educate students in a similar manner. Students learn about the various styles of writing (including formal, colloquial, free expression, etc.) and are taught about the difference between formality and style. Some of the more common forms of legal writing include briefs, opinions, statements of claim, complaints, interrogatories, petitions, complainants' statements, answer and defense papers, investigations, cross-actions, opinions, complaints, and affidavits. Briefs, which are briefs written to the court, must set forth the parties' positions at a minimum level and must also contain supporting detail. OCD (Original Dissertations), on the other hand, are required when lawyers propose briefs, but they cannot be used as the primary paper. ODs are not allowed to contain admissions or defenses because they are usually reviewable by the Supreme Court. Benefits of legal writing 1/2

  2. One major benefit of legal writing, particularly for lawyers, is that it avoids the vagueness of "plain language" because it relies on specific, legally binding forms. Plain language usually refers to legal documents that have no colorful or obvious writing style, such as emails or letters. A lawyer who writes legal documents, therefore, provides clear, concise language that avoids the vague legal jargon of "upon receipt." If you are a law aspirant and looking forward to polishing your legal writing then you must check out the best institutes and law firms that are providing these facilities. If you will search on the internet then you will find the website of such firms like lawprepare.com and few others. 2/2
