  2. Noun Gender • In español, all nouns have either a masculine or feminine gender. • Masculine nouns mostly end in the letter –o • Feminine nouns mostly end in the letter –a • PLEASE NOTE: • Sometimes nouns have gender irregularity; there is no way to know when this will happen!

  3. Making Nouns Plural Nouns ending in VOWELS Nouns ending in CONSONANTS • Add –s to make plural • Estudiante  estudiantes • Pizza  pizzas • Add –es to make a noun plural • fenomenal fenomenales • animal  animales
