  4. Unique Characteristics of the IB Diploma Requirements • Extended Essay • Independent and original research of 3,000 words • Theory of Knowledge • Interdisciplinary class designed to stimulate critical thinking • CAS - Creativity, Action and Service

  5. IB Diploma Requirements • 3 Higher Level and 3 Standard Level Courses • One course from each of 6 subject groups • IB external and internal assessments in all 6 courses • Complete Extended Essay, TOK, and CAS • Accumulate 24 points total in the six areas scored on a scale of 1 - 7 IB DIPLOMA

Senate Bill 111 Each institution of higher education that offers freshman-level courses shall adopt and implement a policy to grant undergraduate course credit to entering freshman students who have successfully completed the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program…an institution of higher education shall grant at least 24 semester credit hours or equivalent course credit in appropriate subject areas to an entering freshman student for successful completion of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program. The institution may grant fewer than 24 semester credit hours if the student received a score of less than four on an examination administered as part of the diploma program.
