März 1957 in San Josè, Kalifornien • Studium an der Universität von Berkeley • arbeitete u.a. als Schuhverkäufer, Manager eines Finanzinstituts, Zeitungsjunge, als Moderator, als Lehrer an einer Hochschule, bei einer Computerfirma, Musiker, Illustrator und Journalist.
